Erdogan calls Gilani

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan Tuesday phoned Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and said that he (Gilani) will be received by the Governor Istanbul when his aircraft will make technical stopover at Istanbul Airport on his way to Davos to participate in the World Economic Forum on Wednesday.
The Turkish Prime Minister said that he would visit Pakistan in the month of May this year. Prime Minister Gilani called for the convening of Economic Co-operation Council during the month of March to enhance trade and economic relations between the two countries. The Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes for wife and daughter of Turkish Prime Minister.
The Turkish Prime Minister said that Prime Minister Gilani is his brother and he has the highest regard for him. Gilani appreciated the brotherly gesture of Turkish Prime Minister and said that he was looking forward to welcome him in Pakistan in May this year. Prime Minister Gilani said that Pak-Turkey bilateral trade has crossed US dollar one billion mark for the first time in 2011 and hoped this momentum will reach the target of US dollar two billion in 2012.
