Khyber Pakhtunkhwa doubles budget for employment scheme

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that funds for Bacha Khan Khpal Rozgar Scheme (BKRS) has been increased to Rs 2 billion, which was started with a budget of Rs 1 billion initially. The chief minister was chairing a meeting in Chief Minister's Secretariat here on Wednesday.
Those who attended the meeting were included Provincial Finance Minister Muhammad Hamayun Khan, ACS Atta Ullah Khan, Secretary Finance Sahibzada Saeed, Principal Secretary to CM Waqr ul Hassan, MD BoK Bilal Mustafa, Executive Director Javed Hashmat and others.
He said that the initiative of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government's special initiatives for empowering unemployed youth had achieved wide recognition and applauds. The government had no capacity to counter ever-increasing unemployment and that was why it had initiated special initiatives for creating employment opportunities, he added. He appreciated the efforts and role of the BoK in ensuring transparent implementation of Bacah Khan Khpal Rozgar scheme and Hunarmand Rozgar Scheme.
He said that unemployed youth from across the province were benefiting indiscriminately from the scheme and had got a permanent source of income for their families. Matters pertaining to performance of BoK, administrative and financial matters were reviewed during the meeting. Meanwhile, Members of National Assembly from FATA also called on the chief minister in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.
Provincial president ANP Senator Afrasiab Khan Khattak, Senator Haji Adeel, Senior Provincial Minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour, Provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussein, Provincial General Secretary Arbab Mohammad Tahir and Taj ud Din Khan were also present on the occasion. The delegation comprised Engineer Shaukat Ullah, Munir Khan Orakzai, Jawad Hussein, Syed Sajid Hussein Turi, Mohammad Kamran Khan, Maulana Noor ul Haq Qadri, Abdul Malik Wazir, Zafar Baig Bithani and Syed Akhunzada.
