Killing of three lawyers: CJ SHC takes suo motu notice

Chief Justice, Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Musheer Alam on Wednesday took notice of killing of three lawyers in the city and called for a report of the incident from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh. According to Registrar of SHC Abdul Rasool Memon, the CJ has directed the IGP to appear before him on Thursday along with inquiry report into the killing of lawyers.
Besides, the representatives of lawyers' bodies will also these proceedings in connection with the recent incidents, he added. Meanwhile, the chief justice who is also chairman of the monitoring committee has convened the meeting of the committee on January 28. The committee was formed to review implementation of Supreme Court judgement in suo motu case on law and order in Karachi.
