The 30th meeting of LUMHS Academic Council was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor University of Jamshoro, Professor Noshad Ahmed Shaikh on Thursday. The Council passed a resolution to establish LUMHS International Medical College and Hospital in Karachi and a committee was also constituted to finalise its feasibility.
Professor Noshad informed the meeting that he had requested the Sindh Chief Minister to allocate 100 acres of land in Thatta district to open LUMHS College and Hospital there, which will not only benefit Thatta but also its adjoining remote areas. Another resolution was passed to allow launching of Master of Science in Nursing (MScN). Several academic and administrative decisions were also taken in the meeting.
