Three persons including Ameer of banned Tanzim Ansarul Islam and his son-in-law was killed and seven injured in a suicide attack at Pakha Ghulam, an adjacent area of Peshawar city, here Monday evening. Talking to media, District Co-ordination Officer, Siraj Ahmed Khan said Haji Akhunzada, ameer of banned Tanzim Ansarul Islam, his son in law and another person have been killed when a suicide bomber attacked them inside his under construction house at Pakha Ghulam.
Police said the suicide bomber came on motorbike along with his aide and entered in the house in a flash and exploded himself. The smoke engulfed the whole building and injured cried for help. Police cordoned off the area and started investigation.
He said that the injured were rushed to lady Reading Hospital Peshawar. Out of the seven injured five were in critical condition. The critically injured, he added, are being shifted to intensive care unit of the hospital. The motive behind the attack was stated to be a dispute between banned organisations, he added. Two children and five labourers were injured. The condition of three victims is stated to be critical. According to Rescue 1122 sources, the two other died persons have been identified as Munib, 25, son of Mohammadullah and Abidullah, 27, son of Kaleem. The injured included Saeed Mohammad, 28, son of Saeed Gul, resident of Pakha Ghulam, Raqibullah, 35, son of Tehseenullah, Mohammad Shahid, 27, son of Mukhtiar, 23, Adnan, 15, son of Haya Khan, Abdul Rehman, 27, son of Abdul Rauf, Rehman, 27, son of Sana Gul and Aman, 28, son of Azkar, residents of Pakha Ghulam.
