Plea to disqualify from public offices: LHC moved against MNA, Punjab chief minister

A petition against Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has been filed in Lahore High Court with prayer to declare them disqualify from public offices as Hamza was supervising the Al-Falah Pharma that supplied the defective tablets to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology which caused a number of deaths.
The petitioner Fakkhar Razzaq through his counsel Sardar Khurram Latif Khosa alleged that MNA Hamza Shahbaz was the supervisor of Al-Falah Pharma that supplied the defective 75mg tablets named Alfagirl (Clopidogirl) to the PIC at various cities of the province including Lahore.
Khurram pointed out that Al-Falah Pharma also supplying the low quality Anaesthesia medicines to all hospitals in Punjab, despite the fact that the licence of respondent of the said medical manufacturer had expired for last one year. He stated that according to the national drug testing laboratory, the Alfagril had been declared defective due to black spot on coating of the tablets which ultimately causes a large numbers of cardiac patient' s death in Punjab. He mentioned that the respondents purchased the low standard raw material for the preparation of disputed medicines instead of imported raw material.
