Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday said that some forces were disturbing Karachi's peace through a co-ordinated plan, urging the citizens to beef up their security by themselves. He said law and order situation had deteriorated in the country's largest city with fresh wave of sectarian violence through a conspiracy.
In a telephonic speech to MQM workers, he said Karachi was likely to fall to the armed gangs in line with the plan. Showing concerns, MQM head said the sectarian killings, bank heists, and armed attacks in business centres were the signs of disturbed peace in the metropolis. He said the government had failed to provide the public with security. He called upon the people to make their private security arrangements through setting up of vigilance committees and watch and ward systems to protect them.
