General election on October 18, 2012: Wasan

Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan has said that general election will be held on October 18, 2012. Talking to media persons at his office on Thursday, the minister said that nobody had any intention to derail democratic system, adding that the government would try to hold a free, fair and transparent election.
According to him, the murder of wife and daughter of Balochistan MPA Mir Bakhtiar Domki was not a routine case, but a high profile case and the police were investigating every aspect of the case. He said that IG Sindh would present an investigation report in Supreme Court.
He said Dr Zulfiqar Mirza had not quit Pakistan People's Party and hhe was still a part of party. "I will hold a news conference with Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza when he comes back to Pakistan," he said. To a question about local bodies system, Wassan said that a new system would be put in place in accordance with the wishes of masses.
