Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Saturday reiterated that government is ready to hold talks with Taliban, if they should surrender arms, accept its writ, constitution, and give guarantee to live a peaceful life. Addressing at ANP rally here at Hakeem Abad in district Nowshera, he said they will forgive bloods of our children, women and elders, who have embraced Shahadat, if Taliban come to table talk.
He further added that government wants talks with Taliban for establishment of peace, prosperity and stability in the region. Regarding political uprising in the country, he said that there is no room for so-called revolution in the province, saying that red cap revolution of ANP has already come in this region. He maintained that ANP had become triumphant in all by-elections in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on the basis of its government performance, saying that his party will get another five-year term in next general elections due to its great services to the masses.
Chief Minister said that ANP-led government distributed millions of rupees among flood-affected families, and more Watan Cards would be distributed soon among the remaining affected families. "Despite a fact, we were lacking funds, but, we assisted deluge-affected families whole heatedly".
Whether ANP is in government or not, nobody would dare even to think of replacing the projects named after Bacha Khan, Wali Khan and other leaders of the ANP, adding with the help of party workers, we will foil such nefarious designs of such so-called parties and their leaders, he warned. Hoti said that his government is smoothly working with PPP senior coalition partner in the province. He said that certain parties that had been voted for the enforcement of Islamic Shariah in the province, had done nothing, but actually, it was the ANP that introduced Islamic Law in Malakand Division by setting up Islamic courts.
ANP Provincial President Senator Afrasiyab Khattak, while speaking on the occasion said that ANP rendered a lot of sacrifices for peace in the province. He said that ANP is a powerful political force of the province. He said that ANP has achieved a lot, changed name of the province, and got provincial autonomy, besides backed Federal Government to foil all such evil designs against the government at center.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussian said that ANP government would eradicate militancy and militants from the province. "We will bring peace back into the province," he added.
He said that PPP had backed ANP in hard times, then, how ANP can leave the PPP, when it is in trouble, adding that elections would be held on time, he questioned. He said that by 18th Amendments, we got provincial autonomy, and control over 17 ministries, which he said is a big achievement, he concluded. On the occasion, prominent social figure Haji Mohammad Khan Khattak along with family members and friends formally announced joining the ANP.
