Mobilink Torchbearers, the volunteer wing of the Mobilink Foundation, participated in renovating JAQ Trust's Pehli Kiran School No 8 in Islamabad. The activity aimed at providing a safe and child-friendly environment in the school that provides education to children from the Katchi Abadis surrounding Islamabad.
Mobilink Torchbearers worked alongside students, teachers and community members to construct a wall around the school to protect the children from cold winds and distractions. In addition to the renovation, the Torchbearers spent time engaging the children with fun activities such as face-painting and cricket. Mobilink Torchbearers also utilised the opportunity to emphasise the importance of education and its benefits for the children and the country as a whole.
Omar Manzur, Director PR and CSR, Mobilink highlighted, "The Mobilink Foundation and its Torchbearers remain committed to the betterment of lives across Pakistan. These children are willing to brave the elements because they have a passion to learn, and we are honoured to have been able to play a part in providing them with suitable protection from natural elements. This is but a token of Mobilink's support and continued effort to give back to Pakistan's children, who are the future of the nation."
The Mobilink Foundation remains committed towards leading social responsibility in Pakistan, with a history of helping the deserving across the country. The Mobilink Foundation has a dedicated and efficient team of Torchbearers; employee volunteers who enable the Foundation in various community service initiatives for the underprivileged across Pakistan. -PR
