Bangladesh's state grains buyer issued a tender on Thursday to import 50,000 tonnes of wheat as part of efforts to boost reserves, a procurement official said. The last date of submission of offers is February 26, with validity till March 6, and the wheat is to be shipped in 40 days after signing the contract.
This is the seventh tender for wheat issued by the state grains buyer, which has said it plans to import a total of 900,000 tonnes of wheat in the year to June.
