Easy trend was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday because most of the commodities drifted lower on falling demand, dealers said. On the cereal side, makai low type shed Rs 50 to Rs 2225 and best type was higher by Rs 25 to Rs 2350, juwar registered at Rs 2100, other items maintained overnight levels in process of slow trading, they said.
On the seed counter rapeseed Mirpurlane low type fell sharply by Rs 300 to Rs 2100 and the best quality was down by Rs 75 to Rs 2150,, rapeseed Dadulane low quality slipped by Rs 200 to Rs 1900 and the good type lost Rs 225 to Rs 2000, castorseed Lasbela shed Rs 50 to Rs 1950 and cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 50 to Rs 550 while the best type did not show any change at Rs 700, they said. Prices on the grams and rice sectors retained the overnight levels due to balanced demand and supply position, they added.
