More rains predicted

Met office predicted more rain with snowfall over the hills in different parts of the country from Sunday to Wednesday. In a special advisory Met office said a fresh westerly wave is likely to approach Pakistan on Sunday that will generate scattered rain in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Balochistan, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Under the influence of this westerly wave more snow is expected over the hills of Murree, Galliyat, Northern areas, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from Monday to Wednesday. It said mainly cold and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country with frost in Punjab and lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during midnight to morning.
However, thunderstorm/ rain with snowfall over the hills are likely to occur at isolated places of northern Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Also, thunderstorm/ rain with snowfall over the hills may occur at isolated places of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions on Saturday. It further stated that weather remained cold and dry in most part the country on Friday. However, light rain occurred at few places of Malakand & Hazara divisions on Friday. Coldest places Last 24 hours. Lowest temperature recorded in Parachinar and Kalam -11 0C, Malam Jabba -09 0C, Astore -07 0C, Gupis -06 0C, Hunza -05 0C.
