Sindh Taas Water Council (STWC) on Friday decided to launch a drive to protect Pakistani rivers from illegal Indian occupation, said Chairman STWC Zahoorul Hassan Dahar. Talking to the media, he said that the drive would be launched from February 23 under the banner of 'Darya Bachawo Tehreek' from Multan Press Club.
Hassan said that the movement would be launched at national and international levels. "We'll raise voice against Indian violation of Indus Basin Water Treaty at all international forums. We'll continue our struggle until we get our right," he said. "It is high time that we make new generation aware of the gravity of the situation. The youth needs to come out to unveil the faces of facilitators of India," he added. He asked the youngsters to take to the roads and unveil Indian, American and Jewish conspiracy against Pakistan. He said that different activities would be held in all big and small towns of Pakistan to tell the masses about Indian water aggression and our rulers' silence on this issue of life and death. He said that under no law the rivers could be fully blocked but India committed this aggression against Pakistan and dried all the rivers coming down to this country.
