Rain-hit growers of Samaro Road area have called for draining out stagnant, two to three feet high water of previous flood from Dehs Liari, Lolan, Toboi and other areas of Samaro taluka.
Growers, namely, Aftab Kaim Khani, Jan Mohammad Bhurgari and Aleem Dal said that despite a passage of six months since the last heavy rainfall, 43 villages and more than 8,000 acres of agricultural lands are still inundated with water.
Addressing a the joint press conference, here on Sunday, they said that the affected growers are now losing hope of the remedial steps by district administration Umerkot and Irrigation Department as their 'repeated complaints about the grievances have gone in vain'.
