The second batches of two modified P3C aircraft were inducted into Pakistan Navy (PN) fleet at Naval Aviation Base in Karachi. An ISPR (Navy) press release issued on Tuesday said that the aircraft modified with latest avionics/ sensors are part of US assistance being provided to Pakistan Navy under FMF (Foreign Military Funding) programme.
It said that PN is to receive a total of six such aircraft from US in batches of two each. The first batch was inducted in to PN in the year 2010. The aircraft has extended surveillance capability, which will help PN maintain requisite vigil in our vital area of interest in North Arabian Sea.
