Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has convened a joint meeting of all Punjab Chambers of Commerce on February 29, to discuss the issues relating to suspension of gas supply to the industries, increasing load shedding and prevailing law and order situation in the Punjab province.
FPCCI Vice President, Chaudhry Aamer Ata Bajwa revealed this while presiding over a meeting here at the Regional Office on Tuesday. He said the industrial production has substantially been declined mainly because of unbearable load shedding and unjustified suspension of gas supply to the industry. If the ongoing energy issue continued in future, it would be difficult to achieve the targets, he added. He urged the government to take immediate steps to bring the industry out of crises and said that future plan of action would be decided in the upcoming meeting.
