Two alleged bandits killed

At-least two bandits were killed while two others were injured in separate encounters in various parts of the metropolis, here on Wednesday. According to police, the first encounter took place in Block 3 of Gulistan Jauhar where three armed men, who tried to flee after looting Dr Raja Khatri, were intercepted by police patrolling party.
The bandits opened indiscriminate firing to escape from the scene. Police retaliated this act that left all three of the outlaws injured, who were identified as Aamir, son of Razi Khan, Abid, son of Irshad and Babar, son of Ghulam Bashir. Police shifted the injured to Civil Hospital Karachi where Aamir succumbed to his injures during treatment.
Police claimed that it recovered two pistols, looted amount of Rs 12,500, mobile phones and a snatched bike from their possession. SHO Sohail said the accused were the residents of Pahlwan Goth while the deceased lived in Bhattai Colony. A case, 99-100/12, has been registered against the accused, he added.
In another incident, one dacoit was killed while other injured in the limits of Solider Bazar police remits. Police said that some three bandits came in rickshaw and attempted to loot several people outside Ghaforia Masjid located in Solider Bazar police remits. Observing this, the security guard of the mosque sprayed the bandits with bullets.
Resultantly, two bandits sustained injures while one of their accomplice managed to flee from the scene. Police said that the injured were shifted to JPMC where one bandit took his last gasp. Later, police reached the spot and 'declared the said incident police encounter'. They said the deceased was identified as Afzal, son of Asghar Baloch while the injured was known as Sabir Ali, son of Amin Bux. Both alleged dacoits are the residents of Moach Goth, Baldia Town.
