The University of Agriculture (UAF) has won eight presidential, four HEC (Best Teachers), five Pakistan Academy of Sciences Medals and four international awards during the span of four years. This was stated by UAF Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while talking to Aussie delegation at a reception hosted by the university.
The Aussie experts included Dr John Spriggs, Professor Dr Barbara Chambers, Dr Sandra Mustafa and Dr Rob Fitzgeral who visited the campus to review the ongoing Baseline Survey on 'Social important impact on agriculture' being carried out jointly by Australian Agriculture Support Linkages Programme (ASLP2) UAF, Sindh Agriculture University and NARC.
Now, the University has jumped to third best according to Higher Education Commission and it is the number one in the field of agriculture, the VC said, adding that Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) also recognised UAF as the second best educational institute of the country. He said it was also a matter of pride for us that Islamic Development Bank had conferred the Science and Technology Award on the UAF among 56 countries of OIC by recognising its meritorious services to the field.
