A teenager on Saturday attempted to steal 200 blood bags from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims), however the security guards deputed at the parking lot got hold of the bottles but the boy escaped from the scene. Pims Executive Director Professor Mehmood Jamal told Business Recorder that an unknown boy carrying a gunny bag was spotted by the security guard at the main parking of the hospital.
When the security guard tried to overpower him he left the bag and fled the scene. He said the guard recovered 200 bags of blood including platelets. "We have constituted a three-member team to investigate the matter and also seal the record of the blood bank", he added.
