Activists of Pasban on Saturday held a protest demonstration outside Peshawar Press Club against the burning of copies of Holy Quran by US-led International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) in war-torn Afghanistan. They demanded for severe diplomatic ties with US-coalition states. The provincial activists of Pasban Ilyas Qureshi, Waqar Ahmad, Ibrahim Qureshi, Muhammad Khan and Jamrood Khan others were presented.
The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed slogans against the desecration of Holy Quran by a few members of US-combat mission in Afghanistan. They demanded for snapping diplomatic relations with US-alliance states and expressed concern over any reactionary move by Muslim world against the constant incidents of desecration of Holy Quran.
Ilayas Quershi said that the burning of copies of holy book was a conspiracy against the Anti-Islamic powers, which will not succeed their hidden agenda. He urged the Muslim states should rise against western tyranny in order to pull the Islamic world out from prevailing oppression.
