At-least three persons were killed in separate incidents in various parts of the metropolis, here on Monday. According to police, a bullet-riddled body of man was found from Nishtar Road, Almari Street in the limits of Garden police station. The victim, later identified as 25-year-old Shafnan, son of Mohammad Akram, a resident of Soldier Bazaar, was recovered from the said street.
Police said the victim was kidnapped before murder and added that he was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities, where doctors said he received three bullets and had some torture marks on his body. They said the victim, who worked in a rummy club situated at Ghas Mandi, went missing while returning home from club. A case 34/12 was registered against unidentified men on the complaint of the victim's brother Imran.
Yet another tortured body was found from Gulshan Bonaire in the limits of Sukkhan police station. The deceased, later identified as Mohammad Idrees, son of Mohammad Riaz, a resident of Gulistan Society Bin Qasim, was found from the side of a rock near Gulshan Bonaire, Murghi Khana stop. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim went missing from Sunday evening and suspected that he might have been murdered over personal enmity. No case was registered till filing the report.
A 48-year-old man was killed by his nephew at Gari Khata near Iqbal Market in the precincts of Nabi Bux police station. Zaffar killed his uncle, namely Ashfaq, 48, son of Abdul Rasheed after a hot debate. SHO Naseeruddin Shah said police recovered TT pistol from the culprit, who, during initial course of investigation, confessed the murder over property dispute. He said the victim was the resident of Rabia Flowers, Abul Hassan Isphani Road and a father of four. No case was registered till filing of this report.
