MCCI chief for introducing Multan's cultural heritage world over

President Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) Mian Anis'A Sheikh has said that Multan chamber was playing its role in highlighting the culture of southern Punjab and has participated in the cultural activities of the area. Now it was helping the women entrepreneurs to introduce the cultural heritage of this zone world over.
Exchanging views with Multan Arts Council Director Chaudhry Asif Pervaiz at a meeting also attended by Mian Mughis' A Sheikh, Chaudhry Asif Pervaiz, Mrs Kausar Sheikh, Dr Aamna Mehmood, Khawaja Muhammad Hussain Senior Vice President of MCCI, Khurram Javed, Secretary General, Chaudhry Saim Zulfikar, Farah Khawaja, Rabia Shehzad, Samina ,Fahmeeda, Fazal Mehmood, Shazmana , Saadia and Sehrish Riaz.
Chaudhry Asif Pervaiz said that women entrepreneurs should promote the skill of this zone and introduce embroidered suits and other products in European markets. Women have been making a special form of embroidery called "Multani embroidery" since ancient times. Women do this work with hand and needle. This work is the cultural identity of Multan. Multan crochet work has been used for its beauty for centuries. In the beginning animal wool was used for this purpose. But now bed sheet, cushions and chadars are made thread is also used.
