ICET organising conference on Engineering, Sciences

Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology will organise two day Intl' Conference on Engineering and Sciences on 28-29 February at seminar Hall, ICET. PU VC Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran will be the chief guest at the inaugural session. Renowned scientists, professors, engineers and industrialists from Pakistan and other countries will participate and present their research papers in conference.
The focus of the conference is to seek solutions to energy problems of Pakistan in the light of research and proposals of the national and international experts. This is a first-ever conference in the history of Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology.
While Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran on Monday inaugurated the new building of Department of Sports Sciences and Physical Education. Director Sports Professor Dr Mansoor Sarwar, Additional Director Sports Shamsa Hashmi, In-charge Sports Department Zafar Iqbal Butt, Chairman Planning and Development Tariq Majeed Qureshi, Project Director Sheikh Muhammad Ali, Engineer Colonel Pervaiz (Retd), officers and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran said there was a huge talent in Punjab University and nobody could beat our players if their talent was polished in true spirit. He said that players needed appreciation and the heads of the departments should encourage, train, support and promote the talented ones. He said that Punjab University was encouraging curricular and co-curricular activities because of which our students were winning not only at national level but also defeating students of Oxford and Harvard like universities. In his inaugural address, Butt thanked the Vice Chancellor for taking interest in the completion of the pending project. He hoped that now the students would be able to perform their activities in a better environment.
