MQM activist among two gunned down

At least two persons including an activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were gunned down in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Tuesday. According to police, a 26-year-old Noor Hussain son of Asghar was targeted when he was standing with his friend at Kunwari colony in the limits of Pirabad police station.
Resultantly he received bullet injuries and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim, who was an active worker of MQM and a resident of Iqbal Nagar Orangi Town, was hit by single bullet on his head. Following the incident, tension engulfed in the area where all shops and markets were closed due to uncertain condition of locality.
Later police handed over his body to his family. No case was registered till filing of this report. Yet another man was shot dead in Pirabad police limits. The incident took place at hair saloon shop where 32-year-old Ali Raza, son of Saleem Khan was assaulted by unidentified men when he was sitting in the shop situated at Qasba Colony No 1.
Resultantly, he received two bullets and died on the spot. The body was shifted to ASH for post-mortem. Police said the victim was the resident of the same area where the incident took place and added that the deceased used to run a cattle farm and a father of four. An FIR 70/12 was registered against unidentified men on the complaint of his father Saleem Khan.
