The Executive Board of NAB approved filing of reference against Allauddin, former Chief Engineer, Public Health, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, while rejecting his request for voluntary return, as there was a clear-cut evidence of corruption to prove the allegation in a court of law. NAB gave the approval in its meeting held with Admiral Fasih Bokhari (Retd) in the chair, here on Wednesday.
The board authorised verification of complaint for illegal use of large amenity plot for commercial purposes in violation of rules of the agreement by National College of Business and Management Sciences. The CDA would accordingly be asked to submit a detailed list of all such plots leased/allotted to different individuals for amenity/specific purpose along-with the amount charged from them.
The first reference was filed against Rasheed Ahmed Qureshi former Assistant Manager Operation, Pesco, Shabqadar for illegal abstraction of electricity in connivance with Pesco officials, while the other against Sardar Manzoor, former Tehsildar, Haripur for misuse of authority and embezzlement of public property.
The meeting also directed to hold inquiry against the irregularities committed by former president NBP, Ali Raza and other executives of the bank, including Dr Mirza Abrar Baig in the name of streamlining bank operations.-PR
