Sindh police on Thursday claimed to have killed an alleged bandit after a brief encounter at Shershah Paracha Chowk in the jurisdiction of Site B police station. According to police, the encounter took place at Shershah Paracha Chowk where two bandits were intercepted by police party when they were busy in looting valuables from pedestrians.
SHO Shafiq Tanoli claimed that the alleged bandit was killed on retaliation while his other accomplice managed to flee under the cover of heavy gunshots. He said they had recovered a TT pistol and a snatched bike (KBN-6775) from the deceased. He said that the alleged bandit was identified as Rafiq Baloch, 30 son of Abdul Wahid, a resident of Kalri Lyari. SHO said the victim was a Lyari gangster and associated with Baba Ladla group. No case was registered till filing of this report.
