Despite tall claims of the police the incidents of robbery and car lifting witnessed a surge in the city as the city police registered 10 cases of robbery and 11 cases of car lifting this week, thereby exposing their poor performance. In the previous week 11 houses were robbed, five vehicles were stolen in broad daylight, according to data gathered by Business Recorder.
During this week three cases of car lifting and two cases of robbery were reported to Margalla Police Station, while previous week they registered no major case. Similarly, Aabpara Police registered two cases of car lifting and a case of robbery this week while the previous week they registered two cases of robbery, a road accident in which one person lost his life and recovered an unknown dead body of a woman who was shot dead by unknown people and her body thrown near Jasmeen Park..
The Industrial Area Police Station registered two cases of car lifting and a case of robbery this week while previous week it registered no significant case. This week Shehzad Town Police Station registered a case of car lifting while previous week two cases of robbery and a case of carjacking was reported to Shehzad Town Police Station.

An official source said that unless the city police make any comprehensive plan to control crime in the city the ratio of crime would further increase. The theft of 11 cars, looting of 10 houses in just seven days belies the claims of police that crime is down.
