Explosive material, anti-aircraft guns seized

Levies Force recovered a huge cache of explosive material including anti-aircraft guns, bombs and landmines when a timber-laden truck overturned in border town of Chaman on Saturday. Levies Officials told APP that a timber laden truck parked at local bus terminal in the city was being driven away from the terminal to main road leading towards Quetta from Chaman when it overturned due to breakage of its Ti-rod.
Heavy cache of illegal explosive material, weapons and ammunition including three anti-aircraft guns, bombs, landmines, Kalashnikovs, material to be used in bomb making and wireless sets were recovered concealed in the truck. The driver and cleaners of the truck managed to flee. Law enforcement agencies including Frontier Corps and Levies Force rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area. Law enforcement personnel have also launched search operation to trace out the driver and cleaner. They have taken the huge cache of explosives into their custody. Neither explosive device exploded nor loss of life was reported.
