KCCI, NICE sign MoU

The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Newports Institute of Communications and Economics (NICE) have signed Memorandum of Undertaking (MoU) of co-operation and collaboration. President, KCCI, Mian Abrar Ahmad, and Rector, NICE, Ms Huma Bukhari have signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations. Salient feature of the MoU are: Both the parties have agreed to exchange information, data, research, reports and publication, etc.
1. Exchange ideas, proposals and suggestions to improve economy, trade and business.
2. KCCI will facilitate students of NICE by disseminating knowledge, experiences, ideas through lectures, discussion with office bearers and member managing committee of KCCI.
3. KCCI will facilitate the business ideas and project by the students of NICE for practical induction in terms of resource generation and coordination with authorities in terms of legal or registration perspective but non monetary.
4. KCCI will support the students of final year and semesters in developing social planning for building up identifiable status of students' skill and eliminating the treats of new entrants in establishing new business by special workshops and seminars.
5. KCCI will inform students, faculty about the practical business scenario, hindrances, problems and threats faced by business and it will also institute students' necessary information about business and investment opportunities in the country.
6. KCCI will brief students and faculties about foreign trade delegations visits, their outcome, MoUs, protocols signed to enhance trade relations and practical steps taken in this regard.
7. KCCI will provide details of their office bearers and delegations visits to various countries, trade potential and agreements signed, etc.
8. KCCI will provide students, feedback about job market, growth and opportunities in various sectors.
9. KCCI will invite students and faculty to participate in "MY Karachi Oasis of Harmony" the mega event organised by KCCI every year. Students may exhibit their projects to limelight their talent and potential at such a vast and global platform.
10. KCCI will provide necessary information, guidance and support to students who would like to develop entrepreneur skills in order to start their own business in future. KCCI believes that self-employment and entrepreneurship is the viable solution of problems being faced by Pakistan.
11. KCCI research department extends its all round co-operation to NICE students and they may contact, communicate, exchange views with our researchers any time they wish.
12. KCCI, whenever, receives any foreign academia, research project to be accomplished at Pakistan, KCCI will share this knowledge with NICE.
13. Co-operation in arranging national and international conferences, seminars, disseminate research and knowledge and build bi-national connections by organising conferences, seminars and workshops at national and international level.
14. Exchange of information, academies materials and academic publication.
15. Both KCCI and NICE will continue consultation in the matters of mutual interest.
16. Co-operation in holding joint training programmes for faculty and students.
This MoU will not give rise to any financial obligation by one party to the other and each party will bear its own cost and expenses in relation to this MoU.
