05 Mar, 2012

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah welcomed the entry of sons of former provincial minister late Syed Koral Shah into Pakistan People's Party (PPP) at a public meeting in Aarazi town in Sehwan taluka, Jamshoro district on Sunday.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that late Koral Shah was his friend and that their close relationship continued even after he left the party to become Sindh Minister for Jails during the regime of General Zia-ul-Haq.
Syed Hadi Bakhsh Shah, Syed Zulfiqar Shah and other sons and members of late Koral Shah's family joined the PPP during the public meeting.
"The PPP is the real democratic entity in Sindh and on the larger map of the country. Our history of political struggle spanning more than four decades which witnessed martyrdoms and suffering of state oppressions bears testimony to that," the Chief Minister said.
Shah said that the joining of his party by the Shah family of Aarazi would strengthen the PPP in Sehwan and would shut the door for the forces which did not have a true political agenda and only try to benefit from discord among the local people.
The CM told the meeting about the success that the philosophy of political reconciliation had brought for democracy and development of the country.
Sindh Chief Minister on the occasion announced that the pumping station of Danister Canal which was broken during the floods in 2010 would be rebuilt. Speaking on the occasion, Sindh Minister for Finance Syed Murad Ali Shah, who is the elected MPA from that area, thanked the family of Koral Shah for joining the party.
He recalled that it was the late Koral Shah who organised the first ever public meeting at Bhan Saeedabad to be addressed by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
"This will help shut the doors for intrusion by the outsiders who have always harmed the area and its people," said the Finance Minister.
The Finance Minister announced that in his capacity he had approved the project of reconstructing all the roads in Dadu district which were affected and broken by the rains. He said that Sehwan was the land of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, a land of peace and love.
