A disabled woman on Monday burnt alive when a mysterious fire broke out in her apartment located in Gulshan Iqbal police remits. According to SHO Dost Muhammad, the inhabitants of the apartment (Madina View Apartment) have voluntarily extinguished the fire that broke out at around 12pm and recovered the body of a disabled woman namely Tauheed, 55, wife of Shoaib Umer.
He said the victim was a mother of one and her husband and son were rickshaw drivers by their profession. He said the initial investigation suggested that the fire broke out due to short circuit.
