Miandad's mother passes away

Khatoon Miandad, mother of former Pakistan Captain and Director General Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Javed Miandad, died at the age of 95 here on Saturday after protracted illness. "She suffered from leg fracture a few weeks ago and recently hospitalised after attack of diarrhea and passed away in the hospital", a grief stricken batting legend Miandad said.
She was also the mother of former international cricketer Anwar Miandad and ex-first class cricketer Sohail Miandad, had grand children like Test batsman Faisal Iqbal and first class batsman Fahad Iqbal. Chief Selector Iqbal Qasim, KCCA President Syed Sirajul Islam Bukhari, Professor Ejaz Faruqi, former Pakistan Hockey Captain Islahuddin Siddiqui have expressed their grief and sorrow over the death of Miandad's mother and prayed for her deliverance.
PCB Chairman Muhammad Zaka Ashraf, Chairperson PCB Women Wing Bushra Aitazaz, PCB COO Subhan Ahmed and PCB management have condoled over the sad demise of mother of Javed Miandad, CB Media department said in statement. The PCB management has expressed their deep sense of sorrow on the passing away of Miandads mother. PCB shares the grief of the dearly departed's family and prays that her soul rests in peace. May Allah Almighty give him and his family strength to bear this huge loss, it concluded.
