Four students hurt at Karachi University

At least four students on Saturday sustained injures in a skirmish between two students' organisations at Karachi University. According to police, the activists of APMSO and Islami Jamiat Tulba (IJT) scuffled with each other that left some four persons injured.
The verbal talks soon turned violent as both the groups attacked each other with guns and sticks. However, the administration of KU intervened and tried to bring the situation under control but failed to do so. Thereafter, heavy contingent of police and rangers rushed to the spot and brought the situation to normalcy.
SHO Khan Muhammad Sheikh said the cause of the said clash was the kidnapping of IJT worker namely Muslim, who was brutally tortured and then thrown in the limits of Mobina Town police station. He said the case (115/12) was registered against five APMSO workers namely Sheryar, Shahid, Anees, Sunil and Burhan under sections 365, 324 and 337-A on the complaint of IJT worker Farhan, who also sustained injures in the clash. No arrest was made till filing of this report.
