Karachi Commi-ssioner, Roshan Ali Shaikh will hold a meeting Tuesday to evolve a strategy for availability of milk to all city consumers at a uniform rate, without any compromise in its quality or quantity.
The proposed meeting will be attended by the representatives of Dairy Farmers Association, All Karachi Milk Retailers' Association, Karachi Milk Suppliers Association, Chief of CPLC and Consumers Rights Council, Ahmed Chinoy, President, Consumers Association of Pakistan, Kaukab Iqbal and all deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners from different zones of the metropolis.
The Commissioner of Karachi has directed all concerned stakeholders to attend the meeting with their respective recommendations and to also share their grievances, if any, as well as problems faced by them in implementation of official directives viz-a-viz uniformity of price of milk as well as other dairy products.
The concerned stakeholders have also been communicated that the meeting scheduled for Tuesday will also decide new milk rates for the consumers and since the decision would be made after due consideration towards the submissions of all those associated with the milk business as well as consumer representatives hence any violation of the decision made, thereof, would be strictly handled.
