Reduced demand causes fall in grams rate on grain market

Diminishing buying interest caused decline in the grams prices on the wholesale grain market on Monday, dealers said.
On the grams side grams Australia No 1 shed Rs 100 to Rs 7300-7600, grams dal Australia No 1 dropped the same amount to Rs 8700-9000, Grams 50x50 lost Rs 100 to Rs 8400-8700, yellow peas Canada dropped Rs 150 to Rs 4550-4850, and yellow peas dal Canada low type shed Rs 100 to Rs 5100 and best type was lower by Rs 150 to Rs 5400, yellow peas Ukraine inferior type, however, gained Rs 200 to Rs 4500 and low type picked up Rs 100 to Rs 4600, yellow peas dal Ukraine low type was up by Rs 200 to Rs 5000 and best type was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 5300, they said.
On the cereal counter, guwar Sindh and Punjab after last week's sharp increase, inched down by Rs 100 to Rs 24000-25000, according to some dealers, retailers were making deals but in a cautious way, other items maintained overnight levels, they said. Only one change was witnessed on the seed sector, where cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 50 to Rs 450 and the best quality also drifted lower, shedding Rs 150 to Rs 600 due to easy supply position, they said.
