Wardens' misbehaviour: traffic chaos over rickshaw drivers' protest

A dramatic protest, of a Rickshaw driver Mazhar Khan against misbehaviour of traffic wardens, ended after five hours who climbed over a high powered electricity pole in the city. During his protest a large number of vans, bus and truck drivers also gathered there and protested against the police.
The police used Lathi charge and airy firing to disburse the people. Traffic remained jammed on Samanabad, Gulshan Ravi, Ring Road and Babu Sabu interchange of motorway for more then five hours. Three grid stations were also remained close to save his life.
The protest was ended after PML-N, MPA, Khawaja Imran Nazir, ensured the protestor and the Rickshaw Drivers Associations to redress their grievances and to manage their meeting with provincial law minister. Mazhar Khan after his protest told to the newsmen that traffic wardens unnecessarily challans the Rickshaws and misbehaved them it make their lives difficult. He demanded the high officials to restrain the wardens from misbehaving and teasing and unnecessarily fines.
