Development of marble and granite sector PASDEC establishes machinery pool in Fata

Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC) with the assistance of FATA Development Programme-(Livelihood) has established a machinery pool for the development of marble and granite sector in FATA. The machinery pool will be used for provision of modern machinery to mine owners for carrying modern and mechanised quartering of marble. PASDEC has been handed over the arrangement and looking after of the machinery on the basis of its skill and expertise in marble and granite sector.
The machinery will be supplied by PASDEC for the development of marble sector in FATA. In this connection, a function was held in the head office of PASDEC on Friday. During the function, the documents of the machinery imported from different countries were handed over to PASDEC.
The documents were received by Chief Executive Officer (CEO), PASDEC, Ihsanullah Khan, Chief of Party, FATA Development Programme, Shehzad Mehmood and Director Minerals FATA Directorate, Engineer Tahir Khan. Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Party, FATA Development Programme, Shehzad Mehmood and Director Minerals, FATA, Engineer Tahir Khan expressed gratitude to PASDEC and expressed the hope that the machinery will be utilised for the development of marble sector of FATA in a vigorous manner.
The CEO, PASDEC expressed thanks to FATA Development Programme and FATA Secretariat for expressing confidence in the Company and called for working in the marble sector to bring FATA into the main stream of national development. He said that marble is the big source of income of FATA and the development of marble sector will leave far-reaching effects on local tribesmen and will send a positive message.
