UAF milk competition sets new record

University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) organised a milk competition in connection with its ongoing six-day Spring Festival. The competition set a new record. According to results, Qumber Maqbool from SB Dairy Farm clinched the first position with 51.82 liters in Crossbred Cow, while in Sahiwal cow competition, Sardar M Aftab Watto from Jahangirabad with 33.17 liter stood first.
Moreover, Liaquat Ali from Shareef Pura won the first prize in buffaloes milk competition with 29.6 litre milk. The award ceremony was chaired by Omani Ambassador to Pakistan Mohamed Said Allawati while Commissioner Faisalabad Syed Tahir Hussain and UAF Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan were guests of honour. Hockey Olympian Khawaja Tariq Aziz was also present.
Addressing the gathering, the ambassador hailed the steps being taken on the part of the university to bring revolution in agriculture sector. He added that the festival was one of best of its kind that will give inspiration to the farming community to learn and adopt latest agricultural practices.
