PCG seizes huge quantity of liquor

The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) seized foreign brand liquor and Beer from the sea area at Kalmat near Pasni. A PCG statement issued here on Sunday said that reliable source informed PCG that a huge quantity of foreign brand liquor will be smuggled in the country through sea.
The PCG beefed up the patrolling of coastal area. At night PCG patrolling team spotted suspected vehicle and on being challenged, smugglers opened fire which was retailed by PCG troops.
After exchange of heavy fire the traffickers managed to flee taking advantage of darkness and left the vehicle on the spot.
Later, on searching the vehicle, PCG patrolling team recovered 1,150 bottles of foreign brand liquor and 2,500 tins of Beer from the vehicle. Further investigation is under way by the Investigation team to unearth the gang involved in this unsuccessful liquor smuggling attempt, the PCG statement added.
