After the never-ending rumors, Samsung might finally be launching its foldable Galaxy X soon as it gave out a major hint recently in it news about 2017 financials.
On Wednesday, Samsung discussed its plans to manufacture flexible displays leaving people curious if Samsung’s foldable phones will actually be a reality.
In Samsung’s earnings call, it hinted its plans for the unofficially named Galaxy X stating, “As for the mobile business, Samsung will continue its efforts to differentiate its smartphones by adopting cutting-edge technologies, such as foldable OLED displays.”
Samsung’s future phones might be with screens on both sides
According to Business Insider, till yet the rumors regarding the smartphone suggest that the phone’s screen will be much bigger than usual and the device will fold inwards similar to a book. The phone might also come in with an in-built screen protector and would be heavier than modern day smartphones, and obviously, the phone will reportedly be expensive.
However, Tech Radar states, these hints do not essentially point to the fact about when the phone would be launched. While some rumors suggest it would be ready to launch this year, other believe that it would come in by 2019; the exact date and the official name is still unknown.
