Pakistan Day celebrated in Quetta

The Pakistan Day was celebrated in the provincial capital and other parts of Balochistan with traditional zeal and enthusiasm on Friday to commemorate the passage of the Pakistan Resolution.
A peace rally led by Speaker Balochistan Assembly Muhammad Aslam Bhootani, Minister for Works and Pakistan People's Party leader Ali Madad Jatak and Minister for Sports Mir Shahnawaz Marri was taken out from Balochistan Assembly premises which after marching on city roads culminated at Ayyub Stadium where Frontier Corps Balochistan had made arrangements to celebrate the Pakistan Day.
Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani along with Inspector General FC Balochistan Major General Obaidullah Khan inaugurated the 23rd March festival at Ayyub Stadium. Cultural stalls representing all provinces of the country were set up at the stadium while school children presented different programs on this occasion.
A separate ceremony in connection with the Pakistan Day was held at Governor House where Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi on behalf of President of the country distributed awards amongst persons belonging to different walks of life. The Pakistan Army organised the Pakistan Day celebrations programme at Musa Stadium Quetta Cantt. Reports reaching here said that Pakistan Day celebrations were held at in Khuzdar, Zhob, Loralai, Sibi and others areas of the province.
