Aalmi Mushaira: attacker an ANP worker: MQM

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday accused Awami National Party (ANP) of being involved in the attack on 'Almi Mushaira' organised by MQM on Sunday. Addressing a news conference at Nine Zero on Monday.
MQM leader Kanwar Naveed Jamil appealed to President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Home Minister Manzoor Wassan to take action against the ANP 'terrorists' and their sponsors involved in the attack on the 'Almi Mushaira' of the MQM.
He alleged that ANP 'terrorists' were involved in terrorism and loot in Karachi and they should be dealt sternly. He called for taking steps on urgent basis to foil the conspiracy to subvert peace in Karachi. He claimed that the man, who was killed by police in encounter outside the Mushaira, was identified as Kamran Khan, who belonged to ANP.
The attackers, who managed to escape, are also workers of ANP, he added. Kanwar said that on one hand the leader of the ANP speak ad nauseam about the philosophy of non-violence of the Bacha Khan day in day out, while on the other hand the ANP resorts to blatant terrorism for spoiling peace in Karachi. He alleged that ANP terrorists were actively involved in extortion, looting and terrorism in Karachi. Other leaders of MQM Rabita Committee were also present on this occasion.
