A bar member Syed Feroze Shah Gillani on Wednesday filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking provision of free education by the state to the children aged between 5 to 16 years. The petitioner said that under article 3,9 and 37-C of the constitution its state's responsibility to provide free education to children.
He therefore prayed to the court to direct the respondent government to provide free education and introduce uniform education system in the country.
