61 medical store owners' cases sent to drug court

District Quality Control Board has issued orders to send cases of 61 medical store owners to drug court. The decision was taken in a meeting of District Quality Control Board, which was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of District Officer Monitoring and Inspection Ameen Akbar Chopra, disclosed an official.
In the meeting challans of 76 medical store owners pertaining to expired medicines, unqualified persons, incomplete sale/purchase record, non-co-operation with drug inspectors, unhygienic conditions and keeping medicines requiring refrigerator outside were presented.
The members of the quality control board after hearing all the cases issued orders to send the cases of 61 medical store owners to drug court, reopen 7 medical stores, issue warning to one store and 5 medical store owners were asked to appear on the next hearing.
