FALAH trains nearly 27,000 health professionals

The US government and health care professionals across country celebrated on Thursday the successful completion of a five-year, $48 million programme providing training for healthcare providers and improving public awareness about the importance of family planning. The project, Family Advancement for Life and Health (FALAH), trained nearly 27,000 health professionals and reached more than 50 million people through its public educational outreach.
"The FALAH project is a strong example of the US government's long-term commitment to support Pakistan in improving the health and welfare of its people," said Ms Karen Freeman, USAID Deputy Director for Pakistan, at the closeout seminar for the FALAH project.-PR
