Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 119,715 tonnes of cargo including 80,356 tonnes of import, 39,359 tonnes of export cargo and 6,236 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during the last 24 hours of business activities ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 80,356 tonnes comprised of 2,888 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 40,906 tonnes of total general cargo; 15,000 tonnes of bulk cargo and 24,450 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 39,359 tonnes comprised of 3,348 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 35,079 tonnes of total general cargo; 2,780 tonnes of bulk cargo and 1,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. A total number of 1,478 loaded 20' containers and 1,919 loaded 40' containers are handled during the reported period. While there are 506 unloaded 20' containers and 207 unloaded 40' containers are handled during business hours on Saturday.

The total import cargo volume of 58,253 tonnes comprised of 17,950 tonnes of palm oil; 11,282 tonnes of containerised cargo; 7,900 tonnes of fertilisers; 700 tonnes of diesel oil and 6,212 tonnes of chemicals are handled during the business activity hours of the port on Saturday. The total export cargo volume of 14,209 tonnes, comprised of 14,209 tonnes of containerised cargo is handled during the reported period of activities on Saturday.
There are only two cargo vessels namely M V MSC Sena and M T Al-soor-II sailed out to the sea on Saturday morning, while there is another cargo vessel namely M V CMA CGM Eiffle is expected to sail on Saturday during business hours. A total number of seven cargo vessels namely M V CSD Batang Annai, M V CMA CGM Eiffle, C V MSC Sena, M V Umm-ad-Dalkh, M T Bunga Angelica, M T Harsandi and M T Al-Soor-II are currently occupying the berths to load/offload containerised cargo, diesel oil tankers, fertilisers and chemical cargo respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Saturday.
There is only one vessel namely M T Golden Dynasty carrying palm oil tankers is currently to line up at the outer anchorage on Saturday during the Business activity hours. There is only one vessel namely M T Golden Dynasty carrying palm oil tankers is expected to arrive at Liquid Containers terminal on Saturday.
