Imran creating anarchy in country: Abid Sher Ali

FAISALABAD: Minister of State for Power Abid Sher Ali Sunday alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan was creating anarchy in the county while Pakistan Peoples Party leader Asif Ali Zardari was promoting politics of horse-trading.

Talking to reporters at the inaugural ceremony of Chaudhary Faqeer Muhammad Memorial Cricket Tournament at Bohranwali Ground here, he said all the corrupt were getting united against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), but they should know that the PML-N was a popular party and had its roots among the people.

He said Imran Khan was not a man of his word. He talked about others corruption, but he himself misused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government helicopter and other resources for his personal use.

He alleged that Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had pocketed billions of rupees in purchase of locomotives while he was railways minister and he should be held accountabile on that account.

The minister said the people wanted to see progress and prosperity in the country, which was on top the PML-N's agenda.

Responding to a question, he said Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a meeting with Pir Hameedud Din Sialvi whereas Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan also appeared before the committee and that issue would hopefully be resolved soon.

To another query, he said new selectors should be appointed in place of old and aged ones to select a talented and hardworking national cricket team so that it could bring laurels for the country.

"The Cricket World Cup is near, therefore, we should announce team in time," he added.
