The capital police are yet to arrest the remaining five accused involved in the gang-rape of two girls who had previously been kidnapped from the limits of Shahzad Town Police Station on Wednesday night. Police sources, however, said that one accused namely Wiqas has been arrested and is in police custody.
They said that six accused Khurram, Abdullah, Hassan, Asim, Shahzad and Wiqas have kidnapped two girls Kanwal and Sahiba Bibi from Arslan Town. Police quoted one of the victims (Kanwal) as saying that both the girls were kept in a house, where they were later gang-raped. According to police, medical examination confirmed that the girls had been raped. However; police have yet to receive a detailed medical report.
