Watan Party Chief and its Punjab chapter head Hashim Shaukat Khan has approached the Supreme Court praying for early hearing of a petition seeking directions to hold local bodies polls. Petitioner Barrister Zafarullah stated after 2009 the local bodies elections were being delayed for indefinite period.
He said that suffering of the people has been increased after illegal dissolution of local bodies and unconstitutional appointments of administrators.
